Prep the Area

When the Install Is Done
Your coating needs time to cure before it's ready for traffic. Here's your timeline.
Stay off the floor for 8–12 hours. Light foot traffic is fine after that — wait until the next morning for best results.
After 24 hours you can move belongings back and resume regular use of the space.
If we leave while you're out, our crew lead will leave a door hanger with the time the coating was finished so you know exactly when your cure window started.
Ongoing Care
A sealed coating is low maintenance — these habits keep it looking its best for years.
Sweep or rinse regularly. Your sealed coating repels water, dirt, and debris — a quick squeegee or rinse keeps it looking fresh.
For everyday cleaning, use Simple Green, Pine-Sol, or dish soap mixed with warm water. Performance also offers a proprietary cleaner solution formulated specifically for resinous floors — reach out to your representative for details.
Clean up chemical spills immediately. Avoid prolonged exposure to bleach, acids, or highly corrosive materials.
For stubborn stains, apply a small amount of denatured alcohol on a rag and wipe the area clean.
Good Habits
- Use a kick plate under motorcycle stands or heavy equipment.
- Use a plastic shovel or broom to clear debris — no metal scrapers.
- Rinse tire shine and cleaning product residue off immediately.
Avoid This
- Dragging metal objects, appliances, or equipment across the surface.
- Tire shine products (ArmorAll, Meguiar's, Black Magic) — they can yellow the coating.
- Leaving metal tools or equipment sitting directly on the surface long-term.
Patio furniture and outdoor rugs: avoid leaving them in the exact same spot for extended stretches during year one — slight fading can occur before the coating fully stabilizes, just like hardwood floors.
